OverviewThis opportunity is for a Developer Level 3 to support development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications, including the Connecting Communities British Columbia (CCBC) Portal and the Community Information Tool (CIT).
The CCBC Portal supports funding application intake, governance, reporting, change management, and program outcome tracking.
The Community Information Tool is a Power BI-based data visualization platform integrating socioeconomic and connectivity data for analysis and decision-making.
Responsibilities- Translate software specifications into code
- Document technical work and develop technical reference materials
- Support development and maintenance of systems
- Provide post-implementation maintenance and support in collaboration with Business Analysts and clients
- Work within an Agile development environment to deliver iterative enhancements and ongoing support
- Contribute to application design, development, testing, and operational support
- Support data integration, reporting, and visualization components
- Participate in hybrid vendor-government Agile teams
Candidates must demonstrate experience within the past 5 years:
- Git / Git Hub (2+ years)
- React (2+ years)
- RESTful APIs (2+ years)
- Container orchestration (1+ year)
- CSS (1+ year)
- Docker (1+ year)
- End-to-end testing (1+ year)
- Python (1+ year)
- Relational databases (1+ year)
- Unit testing (1+ year)
Additionally:
- At least 2 years of experience in the past 5 years as a full-stack developer in an Agile development team on projects of similar scope and complexity
Experience with the following will be considered an asset:
- NodeJS, Git Hub Actions, Infrastructure as Code, Application Monitoring Tools
