Senior Software Engineer API Operations

Location: St. John's

Drive the performance of Nasdaq's API Operations as a Senior Software Engineer. This hybrid role involves managing customer-facing APIs that support critical functions like fraud detection and payments.

In your role, you will own the operation and evolution of APIs at Verafin, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders. Your expertise in troubleshooting and enhancing APIs will contribute significantly to their reliability and adoption. This position demands strong problem-solving skills and effective communication within cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle vendor and customer API integrations effectively

• Diagnose and fix complex production API issues

• Create monitoring systems to ensure API stability

• Implement enhancements and operational improvements daily

• Work with internal teams to support API development

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar

• 2-5 years of relevant software development experience

• Strong skills in Java or C# programming

• Experience with REST APIs and AWS cloud services

• Familiarity with test-driven development practices
