About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Dock Worker to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient movement of freight within our terminal, supporting on‑time deliveries and overall operational success.
Location:
St John’s, NL
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload freight from trailers in a safe and efficient manner
Sort, stage and organize shipments within the dock area
Use of scanners and paperwork
Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
Verify shipment accuracy and report any damages or discrepancies
Maintain clean and organized work environment
Attend in‑house training sessions as required (e.g., dangerous goods, WHMIS, etc.)
Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines
What You Bring
Forklift certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
A willingness to work, dependability & a good attitude are key
Your own vehicle as position is spread across 3 buildings
Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment
Able to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis
Willingness to work in warehouse conditions with possible high noise levels and varying temperatures (dependent on weather)
Safety boots/shoes
A clean criminal background
