• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital‑based training program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
• Minimum experience required:
  None.
• Must become registered by the ARDMS within 6 months of employment. Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within 6 months of employment. Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).
• BLS certified.
• One year of experience is preferred.
• Registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is desired.
