Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery Operating Room position requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Ambulatory Operating Room setting within an outpatient surgery department
• Patient population includes pediatrics through geriatrics
• Coverage for 13 OR rooms
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 to 19:15
• No regular weekends required
• Floating required within OR departments
• Late call coverage required to finish cases
• Uses Epic (EMR required), Pyxis, and SBAR
• Scrub attire provided by the facility
• Must be able to work assigned major holidays according to facility policy
• Floating may be required to other OR departments as needed
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed; no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• Perm/PRN employees must have a 1-year gap from all Piedmont facilities to return as travelers
• Travel pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift in the same unit
• First-time travelers may apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

• Active GA or compact state RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Open to first-time travelers
• Must be fully compliant prior to start
