American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position in an Obstetric Emergency Department requiring 3 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate certification.

• Work in the Obstetric Emergency Department within the Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient population ranges from neonates to adults
• 1:3 patient ratio with 6 rooms and an average daily census of 15
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:00
• Every other weekend required unless specified otherwise
• Floating required within service line to L&D, APU, and OR
• On-call requirement of one 12-hour shift per schedule
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR charting systems
• Scrubs provided by the facility

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required, not in a teaching facility
• Must have ability to perform sterile vaginal exams autonomously
• Circulate and Triage experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred

• Provide autonomous obstetric emergency and labor and delivery care including antepartum care and procedures
• Only 3 call-outs allowed within a 13-week period
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Day
• If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, both must be worked with no holiday RTO permitted
• If three major holidays fall during the assignment, two must be worked with one holiday RTO request considered
• First-time travelers are welcome if they meet the minimum 3 years of non-teaching facility L&D experience
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Previous Piedmont permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers previously cancelled or deemed unable to return to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before reapplying
