Diesel Equipment and Generator Mechanic

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is hiring a skilled Diesel Equipment & Generator Mechanic in Stockbridge, Georgia.

The Diesel Equipment and Generator Technician is responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light and medium‑duty vehicles and their associated aerial lift systems, generators, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation. This person will also operate vehicles and test all working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation.

Pay range $30/hour – $35/hour. Competitive hourly pay – paid weekly, every Friday.

Schedule Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM.

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles and associated equipment
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation
• Inspect and perform work under vehicles
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on the vehicle
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
• Perform other duties as required

• At least 5 years of experience performing vehicle maintenance, and/or possess an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
• Experience in generator preventative maintenance and repair
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox
• Proficient computer skills – knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Ability to move and position heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
