Independent Chartered Accountants | Private Client Tax | Career Development Clark Wood are currently recruiting for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join a respected independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Stockport.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Personal Tax Senior, Personal Tax Semi Senior or experienced Tax Assistant looking to progress their career within a supportive and established Private Client Tax team.

• Managing a portfolio of private client tax affairs from compliance through to advisory support.
• Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors, landlords and sole traders.
• Advising on a range of personal tax matters including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, residency and other client queries.
• Reviewing work completed by junior members of the tax team and providing support where required.
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Assisting Managers and Partners with tax planning assignments and advisory projects.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within HMRC and internal deadlines.

• ATT qualification or be qualified by experience. CTA qualification would be advantageous.
• Previous experience working within a Personal Tax team in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and handling queries independently.
• Confidence reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.

• Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
