"Receptionist – Stockport | Zero Hours"

Looking for a flexible reception role where you can make a real difference to the patient experience?

We’re looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist to join our team in Stockport on a zero-hours basis, providing additional cover when needed.

This could be a great opportunity if you’re looking for flexible work and enjoy being part of a busy, patient-focused environment.

As one of the first people our patients meet, you’ll play an important part in making sure they feel welcomed, supported and looked after. You’ll also help keep the centre running smoothly behind the scenes, working closely with colleagues and clinicians to deliver an efficient, high-quality service.

What you’ll be doing
  • Providing reception and administrative cover when required
  • Welcoming patients and visitors to the centre
  • Managing appointments using our computerised booking system
  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with queries professionally
  • Supporting the administration of patient reports, letters and information
  • Processing invoices and payments accurately
  • Liaising with clinicians and colleagues across the service
  • Keeping records and administrative systems accurate and up to date
  • Supporting the wider team to deliver an excellent patient experience
What we’re looking for

You don’t need a specific medical administration qualification. What matters most is that you’re comfortable working with people and can provide a professional, friendly service.

You’ll ideally have previous experience in a customer-facing, reception or administrative role, together with:

  • Great communication and people skills
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage changing priorities
  • Good computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • A reliable, flexible and positive approach
  • Confidence working as part of a busy team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Audio-typing skills would be useful
About the contract

This is a zero-hours contract, providing flexible cover for the Stockport team when required. There are no guaranteed hours, so we’re looking for someone who is happy to work flexibly and provide additional support when opportunities arise.
