Senior Building Surveyor

Permanent
- Full-Time - £35K-£60K D.O.E

We are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Senior Building Surveyor to a well-established building consultancy business based in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to further develop their career as a Building Surveyor while working on a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Working alongside experienced surveyors and project managers, you'll be involved in every stage of a project; from building inspections and surveys through to design, contract administration and project delivery. You'll play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake building inspections, condition surveys and defect diagnosis across a range of property types.
  • Prepare survey reports, specifications and schedules of work with practical recommendations.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of refurbishment, alteration, extension and new build projects.
  • Carry out measured surveys and site inspections, monitoring progress and quality throughout construction.
  • Ensure compliance with current building regulations, planning requirements and health & safety legislation.
  • Support the preparation of tender documentation, contract administration and procurement activities.
  • Provide site inspections to ensure construction follows the survey data and plans correctly.
  • Monitor project costs, programmes and contractor performance, helping to keep projects on track.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders, providing regular project updates and technical advice.
  • Identify project risks and contribute to practical, cost-effective solutions.

To be successful in this role, you'll have proven experience as a Building Surveyor, with the ability to oversee and manage all aspects of surveying, design, project coordination and contract administration.
