Robinson Visitors Centre Ambassador

Reports to: Visitors Centre Manager
The Robinson Visitors Centre Ambassador is the welcoming face of Robinsons Brewery, responsible for delivering an outstanding experience to all visitors. Based at the Robinsons Brewery Visitors Centre, this role focuses on the day‑to‑day running of the shop and front desk, welcoming guests, managing bookings, and supporting the delivery of conferences, and events.
Alongside excellent customer service, the role also plays an important sales and promotional function, actively encouraging bookings for the Visitors Centre and promoting Robinsons’ managed pubs and wider offering.
Key Responsibilities Visitors Centre & Front-of-House Operations- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, providing a warm, knowledgeable, and professional welcome
- Answer incoming telephone calls and email enquiries promptly and accurately
- Manage visitor bookings, including tours, group visits, conferences, and events
- Book in visitors on arrival and ensure a smooth, well‑organised experience
- Support and welcome guests to the Robinsons Brewery Museum
- Run the Visitors Centre shop on a day-to-day basis
- Process sales and handle cash/card transactions accurately
- Maintain attractive product displays and stock levels
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to visitors
- Assist with the booking, coordination, and on-the-day support of conferences, exhibitions, and events held at the Visitors Centre
- Act as a host for events, ensuring guests feel welcomed and supported throughout their visit
- Actively promote the Visitors Centre, events and meeting rooms
- Encourage repeat visits and group bookings
- Promote Robinsons’ managed pubs and related offerings to visitors
- Identify opportunities to upsell experiences, retail products, and events
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service
- Act as a knowledgeable ambassador for the Robinsons brand, history, and values
- Handle visitor queries or issues professionally and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, friendly, and professional manner
- Strong customer service or hospitality background (preferred)
- Sales-minded with the ability to promote and recommend experiences
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable using booking systems, tills, and basic IT systems
- Interest in heritage, brewing, hospitality, or tourism is an advantage
- Approachable and enthusiastic
- Reliable and well‑organised
- A genuine passion for delivering great visitor experiences
- A proactive and positive attitude
