A vibrant and welcoming specialist school in Stockport is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our full‑time team. The role offers a great training programme; successful ECTs may progress to a Teacher position within the school.

• Support classroom learning, assist with lesson delivery and provide tailored support for students.
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement plans for students with additional needs.
• Lead small group activities and offer one‑to‑one support as required.
• Contribute to monitoring and assessment of students’ progress.
• Assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Take responsibility for 20‑40% of classroom teaching where required.

• Hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Have experience working with children in a school environment (ECTs encouraged to apply).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
