, Stockport, SK5 6UY
. The role is full time (37.5 hrs/week), with a rota of 8:00am‑4:00pm, and requires some flexibility.
Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience, not pro rata).
Contract: Permanent, term only.
Start Date: March 2026.
Applicants: UK residents only (no sponsorship). All candidates must have a full UK Driving Licence.
The Transition and Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every pupil’s journey into and through school is carefully planned, supported and successful. The role focuses on pupils with SEMH needs, EBSA histories or disrupted educational experiences, ensuring they are able to attend, engage and thrive in full‑time education.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate personalised transition plans for new pupils, ensuring trauma‑informed, structured and outcome‑focused approaches.
- Support pupils on reduced timetables or those at risk of disengagement, with clear review points and measurable plans to increase time in school.
- Monitor and analyse attendance and engagement data, reporting on progress towards full‑time reintegration.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, providing guidance to reduce barriers to attendance.
- Collaborate with safeguarding, clinical and pastoral teams to integrate emotional wellbeing and risk factors into planning.
- Liaise with local authorities, previous settings and external professionals for continuity of support and multi‑agency working.
- Undertake home visits, off‑site meetings and flexible working (including holiday transition support) to maintain engagement and secure successful outcomes.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs, anxiety‑related barriers or disrupted educational histories.
- Experience leading or contributing to transition, reintegration or engagement plans, including work with pupils experiencing EBSA.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to establish trust while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Resilient and solution‑focused, with a strong commitment to high expectations and positive outcomes for all pupils.
Reddish Hall School is an independent specialist day school in Stockport for pupils with SEMH needs, many with additional diagnoses including ASC, ADHD and Dyslexia.
