SEN Tutor Core Subjects (Stockport)

We are seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition for students in Stockport with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role will involve delivering tailored lessons in core subjects like English and Maths to support students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to-one GCSE English and Maths tuition, adapted to the students learning needs.
Use various strategies to support emotional regulation and enhance learning.
Help students develop study skills, exam techniques, and build confidence.
Build a positive and trusting rapport with students to create a safe, supportive learning environment.
Provide regular updates on student progress to parents/carers and professionals.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring English or Maths.
Experience working with students with SEN in a one-to-one or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable
Qualifications:
PGCE or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Experience working with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
