We are looking for a dedicated Youth Mentor to support young people in Stockport, guiding them through personal, social, and academic challenges. As a Youth Mentor, you’ll work with students facing SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs to help them develop life skills, build confidence, and improve their overall wellbeing.

• Provide one-to-one mentoring to young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
• Help students build life skills, boost self-esteem, and improve social interactions.
• Assist students in setting and achieving personal goals, creating action plans for success.
• Offer academic support, particularly in English and Maths, as needed.
• Act as a positive role model and build strong, trusting relationships with students.
• Report regularly on student progress to parents/carers and other professionals.

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with young people, ideally in a mentoring or support role.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH or other additional needs.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

• Experience in a similar role working with young people facing academic or personal challenges.
• Qualification in Youth Work, Social Care, or a related field.
