Science Supply Teacher (Full-time, Long-term)

Aspire People are proud to be partnering with a secondary school in Stockport seeking experienced Science Teachers for a full-time, long-term supply role. For the right candidate, this opportunity could lead to a permanent position.

This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate Science Teachers with a strong commitment to providing high-quality education. You'll be joining a supportive school with an excellent track record of both pastoral support and academic achievements, and a clear commitment to faith-based education. The role requires a teacher who can bring energy and dedication to their classroom while supporting students through their GCSE preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Science across KS3 & KS4, including supporting Y10 & Y11 students with their GCSE exam preparations.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies and adhere to the school's behaviour policy.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with SEN.
  • Provide engaging and challenging lessons to encourage student achievement and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure the school's standards of education are upheld.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Science.
  • Availability to start ASAP or after Easter, until at least the end of the academic year, with the potential to go permanent.
  • Excellent behaviour management and classroom control.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and resilient with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

    Experience supporting students with SEN and the ability to adjust teaching methods to suit their needs.
  • DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
  • References covering the last 2 years.
