Teaching Personnel is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Burnage in the recruitment of a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a full-time position starting in October 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to play a key role in guiding pupils through their final year of primary education, helping them achieve their academic goals while preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school.

The Role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire learners and support excellent academic progress. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure pupils are fully prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed
Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
Support pupils' confidence, independence, and personal development
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
Contribute to the wider life of the school and ongoing improvement initiatives
✅ About You

The successful candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Possess a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
Be skilled at adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs
Have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Be confident using technology to enhance teaching and learning
Bring enthusiasm, resilience, and a passion for helping pupils succeed
