The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled, and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. Working alongside class teachers and the leadership team, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons and interventions across key stages under the direction of class teachers.
- Provide PPA cover and step in to teach classes during short-term teacher absences.
- Support pupils with diverse learning needs, including SEND, ensuring an inclusive environment.
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress to support school-wide academic standards.
- Model positive behaviour and nurture our pupils' spiritual and personal growth in line with our school virtues.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds HLTA status or an equivalent Level 4+ qualification (or a degree with relevant classroom experience).
- Demonstrates high standards of literacy, numeracy, and strong classroom management skills.
- Is supportive of our distinct Catholic ethos and values (applicants of all faiths or non-faith backgrounds who respect our Christian ethos are welcome).
- Possesses strong communication skills and builds positive, caring relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Is resilient, creative, and eager to contribute to the wider life of the school.
