Are you a mechanically minded Design Engineer with a passion for precision engineering and product development?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer supplying engineered products to global industrial markets — where quality, reliability and innovation are at the core of everything they do.

The Role

You’ll join a close-knit engineering team responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies — from concept through to manufacture. Working with CNC-machined parts, enclosures and precision fittings, you’ll turn ideas into robust, cost-effective, production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

* Create and develop mechanical designs and 3D models using CAD software

* Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and documentation

* Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure designs are optimised for machining and assembly

* Support prototype builds, testing and product validation

* Drive continuous improvement of existing designs for performance and cost

* Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality and procurement

About You

* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)

* Solid experience designing machined components and assemblies

* Proficient with CAD (Solid Works, Inventor, Creo or similar)

* Strong understanding of materials, tolerancing and manufacturing processes (CNC, turning, milling)

* Hands-on approach with an eye for detail and problem-solving

* Confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
