Drainage Assistant — £13ph

Stockport & surrounding Counties

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday & flexibility for overnights, weekend work, occasional stay away & overtime is paid at time and a half.

• Carry out PPM works alongside Drainage Engineers and perform mechanical clearance works of soil stacks, floats lines and small-bore waste pipes in accordance with detailed drainage plans.
• Extensive descale works for above and below ground drainage, including small bore and stack pipework internally, using HPWJ, electromechanical milling machine and hand coring machines.
• Identify defects, design issues, pipe conditions and missed connections within the drainage system.
• Assist with Jet Vac tanker works including line cleaning, root cutting and confined space entry works.
• Provide drainage reactive call outs for commercial and industrial clients as required.

• Do you have a valid driving license?
• Experience with PPM works and internal drainage works.
• Experience with Picote machine (preferred).
• Flexible to frequent staying away and night work (once or twice per month – one week at a time).
• Preferably drainage experience.
• Experience with driving large vehicles.
• Interest in working towards becoming a Lead Engineer.

Basic salary up to £13 per hour P/A with pension contribution and 20 days holidays + bank holidays. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
