Project Manager

Permanent, Full Time

UK Wide | Regular UK travel

Are you a Project Manager with 5+ years' experience delivering energy projects?

Do you have a strong background in power generation, particularly reciprocating engines?

Do you hold an HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering?

What will you be doing?
  • Manage projects from initial development through to successful completion
  • Take responsibility for project delivery, costs, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Manage engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and civil elements of projects
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Manage contracts, programmes, budgets and project risks
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with CDM and H&S requirements
  • Travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas for supplier meetings and witness testing
Where will you be doing it?

You’ll be joining an established international power generation business delivering low-carbon energy and battery storage solutions across the UK and overseas. The business specialises in technologies including reciprocating engine-based generation, CHP and renewable gas, with a strong focus on engineering quality, customer service and long-term sustainability.

What will you need?
  • 5+ years' experience managing and developing energy projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of power generation and reciprocating engines
  • Experience across mechanical, electrical and civil engineering projects
  • Understanding of energy production and O&M operations
  • Good knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety
  • Experience with contract management and frameworks such as NEC, MF1, IChemE or FIDIC
  • Competency using Microsoft Project (MPP) and Microsoft Office
  • HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Full UK driving licence

Thursday 8:30am5:0pm;
Friday 8:30am
4:00pm
