Trainee Paraplanner (Wealth Planning Analyst)

A growing, client-focused financial planning firm based in Heaton Moor is seeking a Trainee Paraplanner / Wealth Planning Analyst to join their friendly, small but ambitious team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress from administration into paraplanning within a supportive and long-term career-focused environment.
About YouYou are:
- An administrator or trainee paraplanner looking to progress into a fully qualified paraplanning role
- Excited to be part of a small, planning-led team rather than a large corporate firm
- Passionate about financial planning and the positive impact it has on clients’ lives
- Interested in the human side of advice as much as the technical side
- Capable of managing a varied workload, using your initiative, and prioritising tasks effectively
- Adaptable and open to change, including the evolving role of technology and AI in financial planning
You will have:
- At least 3 years’ administration experience within a financial planning-led advice firm
- Passed at least 3 RO exams and are working towards your Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience processing pensions, ISAs, general accounts, and onshore/offshore bonds
, ideally via Nucleus or Transact - Ideally, worked closely with an adviser delivering genuine financial planning services
- A willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges
You will:
- Provide first-class administrative and paraplanning support to an adviser within a newly created pod
- Receive structured training in all aspects of paraplanning, with a clear development pathway from day one
- After 9–12 months (subject to performance and exam progression), progress into a full paraplanner role
- Process new business applications via Nucleus or Transact and support the onboarding of new clients
- Assist with simple suitability reports using firm templates and learn to use Voyant financial planning software
- Liaise with clients where required to support exceptional financial planning services
- Contribute to ad hoc projects, including trialling and implementing new technology
