Financial Controller

£70,000 – £75,000 + Full suite of benefits

Forge Talent is proud to be supporting an established, acquisitive international manufacturing business in the search for a qualified Financial Controller to take ownership of a high-impact, hands‑on finance function. Reporting into a progressive Finance Director who genuinely supports continuous improvement, automation and smarter ways of working.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, but also confident stepping in to provide commercial insight at board level.

As Financial Controller, you’ll be trusted to run the day-to‑day finance operation while playing a key role in group reporting and international consolidation.

• Full ownership of the finance function
• Oversight of month‑end, the production of monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheet
• Preparation of board packs and insight‑led reporting
• Group consolidation across multiple international entities
• Management and development of the finance team
• Acting as point of contact for auditors
• VAT returns, statutory reporting and HMRC liaison
• Partnering closely with operations and non‑finance stakeholders
• Hands‑on involvement in systems improvements and implementations

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior role
• Experienced in international or group environments
• Confident leading teams and driving process improvement
• Strong in Excel and comfortable working with complex data
• Able to communicate effectively with finance and non‑finance teams
