Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a growing business in Stockport to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career within finance, working as part of a supportive team in a varied and hands on role. You'll gain exposure across a broad range of finance activities, working closely with the wider Finance team and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient financial processing. Location:

Stockport + Hybrid Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 DOE + Study Support Main duties:
  • Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Supporting the Finance team with month end and year-end processes, including report preparation.
  • Assisting with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
  • Managing the finance inbox and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records across internal systems.
  • Supporting expense reporting and employee reimbursements.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider business to ensure efficient processes and a high level of service.
Person specification:

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and proactive, with a genuine interest in developing their finance career.

  • Previous experience within a finance role or be an Accountancy & Finance graduate with a minimum 2.1 degree.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to get involved across a varied role.
  • Good communication skills and confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
