Senior Social Worker (Active Recovery Community Home Team Hospital Discharge Team) MB4 (£45,091 - £51,356) 37 Hours, Full-Time Permanent Hybrid:
Stepping Hill Hospital and homeworking one day per week.

Join us at Stockport Council MJ Local Authority of the Year 2025 Your Role We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic senior social worker to be a part of the ARCH team, within the hospital and across all the discharge pathways.

The candidate will have a wealth of experience of quality and practice, working within MDT setting and with our partners across health, social care and the third-party sector.

About You The candidate will be able to work on complex cases and discharges involving safeguarding, Court of Protection and mental capacity whilst leading the social workers to strive a positive patient journey and least restrictive outcomes, to live Gloriously Ordinary lives.

The role will require working at a fast pace, to support the hospital pressures whilst keeping the person at the forefront of decisions and working to ensure we keep to our Home First values.

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced person to provide strong assistant leadership and drive in managing the Stockport Adult Social Care ARCH team.

You will work closely with the teams driving and supporting the priorities of Stockport Social Care.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience in leading teams through change management and transformation and statutory compliance, maintaining quality service delivery to the people of Stockport.

You will support and manage and develop the workforce to enable individuals to practice and perform at an optimum level; providing effective senior social worker support for a highly motivated and professional service.

The ambition is to fully implement Strength and Asset based standard operating model of practice and we require a senior social worker to drive this vision working collaboratively with other Neighbourhood teams.

You will work collaboratively with both internal and externals partners to deliver seamless services for the people of Stockport and ensuring that people remain independent for the longest possible time.

The candidate will embed Stockport’s Values and will work to align and motivate their teams to deliver in these areas.
