Job Summary
Stockport NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for Clinical Support Workers to join our D1 Gastroenterology team on a very busy 25‑bed inpatient ward. Three full‑time (37.5 hrs) permanent Band 3 posts are available; part‑time will be considered. The role includes internal rotation to nights and weekends.
Main Duties- Provide high‑quality, caring, compassionate and personal care to patients and their families/carers.
- Carry out direct patient care tasks under the supervision of an Assistant Practitioner/Registered Nurse.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, both independently and as part of the team.
- Practice effective clinical and administrative preparation, prioritise workload, and contribute to service improvements.
- Participate in giving compassionate high‑quality personal care to patients, safeguarding practice, and developing competencies.
- Act with respect for privacy, dignity, equality, diversity and confidentiality.
- Exhibit professional attitude and behaviour, demonstrate excellent customer‑care skills and contribute to effective team working.
- Care Certificate and/or equivalent qualifications (Maths, English required).
- Experience caring for patients in an acute setting.
- Good communication, organisational skills and basic IT skills.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check (£54.50, with deduction from first salary) and join the DBS update service (£16 annually).
- Band 3 Skills or NVQ Level 3.
- Understanding of the needs of patients in an acute setting.
- Experience assisting with the induction, training and education of students, volunteers and other staff members.

Salary£24,071 to £25,674 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
