Senior Security Project Lead

Overview

I am hiring a Senior Security Project Lead on behalf of an IT security consultancy focused on helping organisations protect information and systems. They work on a wide range of security challenges including penetration testing, security assessments, incident response, secure architecture and information security management systems (ISMS). • Leading and managing complex IT security consulting projects across penetration testing, security audits, and security by design engagements.
• Coordinating project teams and external partners, ensuring security deliverables are met on time, on scope, and aligned with client expectations.
• Driving analysis and delivery of IT security assessments, risk evaluations, mitigation planning, and tailored security concepts.
• Serving as the key technical and strategic advisor to clients, presenting findings, facilitating workshops, and driving decisions across stakeholders.
• Developing and improving internal project methodologies, documentation standards, and security consulting frameworks based on industry best practices.

This role is hybrid in Baden-Württemberg 3 days a week.

• Several years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or senior technical roles, with hands‑on expertise in security assessments, risk management, or ethical hacking.
• Strong understanding of security concepts, including penetration testing, secure architecture, incident response, and security governance.
• Demonstrated success leading projects or small teams, balancing technical delivery with client communications.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain security issues clearly to technical teams and stakeholders in both German and English –
  minimum C1 level German

• Analytical and structured approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement of security practices.

• Penetration Testing experience.
