SummaryWe are looking for an IT Technician to join our team. You will be an important role in maintaining, expanding and securing our technolgy. In this role you will give preventive technical assistance, debug hardware and software issues, and support the smooth operation of our computer systems. - Provide full desktop assistance to end-users, resolving issues with hardware, software and operating systems like Windows and macOS
- Configure, maintain and repair computer hardware components including servers, workstations and peripherals
- Manage network infrastructure includes computer network, LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, switches to ensure stable connectivity
- Support server OS environments for user account management and security policies based on Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
- Provide software troubleshooting support on numerous apps including Microsoft Office suite and enterprise products such as SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Service Now, Jira, BMC Remedy
- Configure firewalls, VPNs and other security measures to protect organisational data Monitor and maintain network security
- Document technical procedures and occurrences using help desk technologies such as Service Now or Jira Escalate difficult issues when appropriate
- Analyse system logs and network traffic to identify possible problems or vulnerabilities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver system upgrades, patches and new hardware deployments
- Excellent grasp of computer networking fundamentals such as LAN/WAN design, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN setup and firewall setting
- Experience providing desktop support for Windows (Windows Server) and macOS operating systems
- Troubleshoot software issues with Microsoft Office products and enterprise management solutions such as SCCM or BMC Remedy
- Knowledge of hardware components such as computers, servers, switches, routers and peripherals
- Familiarity and experience with Linux based systems and Linux commands for troubleshooting
- Skilled in Administration of Active Directory for User account management and security policies
- Great communication skills to efficiently support users of various levels of technical proficiency
- Analytical skills to swiftly and properly diagnose complicated technical difficulties
- Experience with remote support systems such as Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) or equivalent
