Puro Associates are working with a respected regional law firm seeking an experienced Residential Property Fee Earner to join their busy and successful conveyancing team in Stockport.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable conveyancer who can handle residential transactions from instruction to completion independently, while delivering first-class client service. You’ll be joining a supportive environment where your contribution will directly influence the success and growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and new build transactions.
- Handle all aspects of the conveyancing process autonomously, ensuring each matter is managed efficiently and in accordance with professional standards and compliance procedures.
- Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and file management to meet departmental targets.
- Provide clear, practical, and friendly advice to clients, ensuring a consistently high level of service.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, agents, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives to strengthen the firm’s client base and reputation.
- Support junior colleagues or cover caseloads when required.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documentation using modern case management systems.
- Ensure all files—both digital and paper—are maintained in accordance with compliance and quality management requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement within the department.
- Experienced and confident in handling a busy residential caseload from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and client-care skills, both in person and in writing.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Collaborative and supportive team player with a proactive and positive approach.
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with legal case management systems.
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience as a conveyancer or fee earner handling residential property matters.
- Relevant legal qualifications or equivalent experience within a conveyancing role.
- Proven track record of managing transactions independently and delivering excellent client outcomes.
