The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stores Technician to join our dynamic operations team in Stockport. You will play a key role in managing inventory, supporting production, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and components.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems.
• Pick and issue materials to production in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
• Ensure the stores area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Liaise with procurement, production, and quality teams to resolve stock discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the stores function.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
