My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in North West. We are now recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer based at the site in Stockport.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week – 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

1 hour - Unpaid Lunch Break.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will report directly to the Production Manager and take on a proactive, hands on role.

You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance and repairs across a diverse range of machinery, including fabric inspection and packing equipment, fabric cutting machines, stenter ovens and associated peripherals (unwinders, coating heads, Pleva weight monitoring, rewind systems), fabric pleating machinery, lamination equipment, and our liquor mixing plant.

Your role will also include electrical installation work across the site—such as installing armoured cabling for new machinery, lighting and power installations—alongside completing PPM activities on factory services and equipment. You will also support the installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery.

We’re looking for someone with a proven background in a similar role, strong electrical expertise, and ideally some mechanical capability. You should be confident in identifying potential issues and recommending effective corrective actions.

You’ll thrive here if you’re a focused team player with a strong character, enjoy working in a fast paced and growing business.

  • Apprentice trained or equivalent, with NVQ Level 3 in electrical maintenance or installation
  • Strong fault finding skills and the ability to interpret schematic drawings
