Part-Time Food Production / Machine Operator
Pickles Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Part-Time Food Production / Machine Operator to join a busy food manufacturing business on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
We're looking for somebody who has previous experience operating a flow wrap machine or similar production/packaging machinery, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to working hours.
This role would suit somebody who enjoys a hands-on position, can work confidently on their own initiative and is equally comfortable working as part of a team.
Hours, Pay & Contract

* Hours:

Minimum 24 hours per week

* Working Hours:

9:00am - 5:00pm
 
* Flexibility:
Must be flexible to work additional hours depending on business requirements
 
* Starting Pay: £12.71 per hour
 
* Permanent Pay: £14.01 per hour

* Contract:

Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities
 
* Operating and monitoring a flow wrap machine to ensure products are packaged efficiently and correctly.
 
* Setting up, adjusting and maintaining machine settings to meet production requirements.
 
* Ensuring products are wrapped, sealed and presented to the required quality standards.
 
* Carrying out regular quality checks, identifying packaging defects and reporting any issues.
 
* Monitoring machine performance and responding to minor operational issues.
 
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
 
* Following food hygiene, health and safety and quality control procedures.
 
* Working closely with colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
 
* Managing individual workloads effectively when working independently.
 
* Supporting other areas of production when required.
What We're Looking For
 
* Previous experience operating a flow wrap machine or similar production/packaging machinery is essential.
 
* Experience working within food production or manufacturing is desirable.
 
* Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
 
* Confident working both independently and as part of a team.
 
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive attitude.
 
* Able to follow instructions and work to established processes.
 
* Flexible with working hours to accommodate changing business needs.
 
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
