What You Will Do

As Sr. Quality Manager – UK FSP
, you will lead the quality strategy across our manufacturing facilities in Stockport and Great Yarmouth
, with additional support for quality activities in Enschede, Netherlands
. Reporting to the Global Quality Director, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement and Zero Defects, ensuring product and process quality standards are maintained and enhanced across all operations. This role includes leadership of site Quality teams, ownership of the Quality Management System, supplier quality oversight, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to improve business performance. Travel of approximately 25-50% is required across UK and EMEA locations.

How You Will Do It
  • Lead the transformation of quality culture and continuous improvement initiatives focused on achieving Zero Defects.
  • Drive improvements through enhanced pFMEA, mistake-proofing methodologies and robust control plans.
  • Establish and monitor leading and lagging quality KPIs, defining targets and strategic improvement plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in reducing Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and External PPM through structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D and Six Sigma.
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Manage internal audit programmes and lead site activities during customer, regulatory and certification audits.
  • Oversee inspection, testing, analysis and process controls to ensure products consistently meet specification requirements.
  • Lead APQP activities and quality stage-gate deliverables for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Notification (ECN) projects.
  • Manage supplier quality processes including incoming inspection, PPAP approvals, supplier corrective actions and performance scorecards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, customer requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead, coach and develop Quality Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors across UK sites.
What We Are Looking For Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' quality experience within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years' leadership experience managing quality teams.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical standards.
  • Proven experience with NPI, APQP and PPAP methodologies.
  • Strong expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, Six Sigma, SPC and mistake-proofing techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in leading quality transformation programmes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Resilient, process-driven leader with a track record of implementing quality standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and English language proficiency.
Beneficial
  • Bilingual English and Dutch language skills.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business or Quality Management.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent qualification.
  • ISO Lead Auditor certification or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
  • Experience supporting multi-site or international manufacturing operations.
