Software Team Leader - Stockport, Greater Manchester - £50k-65k (DOE)

I'm working with a well-established UK technology company based in Stockport that is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Software Team Leader to take technical ownership of their core software and lead a small, highly skilled development team.

This role suits a senior C++ developer who still enjoys being close to the code, but also wants responsibility for technical direction, delivery, and mentoring.

You’ll lead a small team of software engineers responsible for developing and maintaining PC-based software. Working closely with sales, marketing, customers, and senior management, you’ll help define specifications, design new functionality, and deliver robust, high‑performance software solutions.

This is a genuinely hands‑on leadership role, combining technical design and development with team leadership, planning, and stakeholder engagement.

There is also the opportunity for occasional UK and international travel, should this be of interest.
