Medical Records Clerk

Unit 11B Lingfield Close, Lingfield Point, Darlington, DL1 1AX
Pay: £12.90ph
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Shifts:
Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break
Performing administrative tasks for patient medical records and associated documents in accordance with an established paper-based or electronic filing system.
Key Responsibilities- Creating, updating and maintaining patient medical record information in accordance with the local file management practices and the electronic or manual record filing system.
- Retrieving, delivering and filing/storing patient records in accordance with daily scheduled, emergency and special project needs.
- Reviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy of required information content and taking appropriate actions to assure record integrity.
- Performing additional clerical and/or administrative duties as required in medical records department.
- Previous administrative or clerical experience
- Good level of computer literacy
- Comfortable with manual handling and a role that involves physical activity
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comprehensive training will be provided along with ongoing support. A good level of computer literacy is needed, along side a good level of physical fitness as this role will involve manual handling too.
Successful candidates will need to provide their own safety footwear.
