We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Site Manager, ideally with groundworks experience, to oversee and coordinate all aspects of groundworks operations on construction sites for our client. This pivotal role involves managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will possess strong management capabilities, supervising experience, and proficiency in project planning tools.
Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and supervise groundworks teams to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications.
- Develop detailed work schedules to coordinate activities across multiple teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor daily site operations, resolving issues promptly to prevent delays.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety briefings.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate progress and address concerns.
- Manage resource allocation, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize productivity.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including progress reports and safety records.
- Identify potential risks or delays early and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Proven management experience in groundworks or civil engineering projects.
- Supervising experience on construction sites with a focus on groundworks activities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Effective communication skills suitable for diverse audiences across international contexts.
