A leading steel‑infrastructure manufacturer is seeking a proactive Senior Design Engineer to support and guide its growing engineering team. This role blends hands‑on design work with team coordination, planning and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the internal engineering design team.
Plan and delegate design workload; communicate lead times.
Produce and review engineering designs for steel infrastructure products.
Create 3D CAD models and drawings (Solid Works preferred).
Carry out structural calculations and support FEA work.
Collaborate with project management, production, procurement and sales.
Ensure accurate, high‑quality design output within deadlines.
Provide technical guidance and resolve design/manufacturing queries.
About You
Degree in engineering or related discipline.
Experience in steel manufacturing or fabrication.
Strong 3D CAD skills (ideally Solid Works).
Knowledge of structural calculations; some FEA experience.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proactive, solutions‑focused and confident leading others.
