Industrial Technician Consultant

We are delighted to be partnering with a well established industrial business to recruit a technically minded Industrial Technical Consultant to join their Service team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or maintenance engineering background who enjoys being hands-on, working directly with customers and leading technical projects from start to finish.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll act as a technical expert for customers and the sales team, providing advice, carrying out site surveys and leading the implementation of maintenance solutions that improve machine reliability and operational performance. The role is office-based, with regular UK travel to client sites and occasional overnight stays.

Acting as the technical point of contact for customers and Technical Sales Consultants on complex engineering and maintenance matters

Carrying out site surveys and assessing existing maintenance practices and procedures

Leading the implementation and start-up of technical maintenance programmes at customer sites

Conducting or overseeing scheduled equipment inspections and maintenance activities

Working closely with Key Account Managers, service delivery partners, sales support and the Technical Manager

Supporting customers in improving equipment reliability, efficiency and performance

Ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards

A vocational technical qualification, ideally in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Knowledge of rotating equipment and experience in an industrial maintenance or technical service environment

Experience delivering small to medium-sized technical projects

Confident using Microsoft Office and digital business systems

A strong commitment to health and safety

Customer-focused, with excellent communication skills

Self-motivated, proactive and resilient, with a structured approach to follow-up

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays

Salary negotiable depending on experience

Permanent, full-time role, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
