AI-Enabled Business Intelligence and Automation Engineer; KTP Associate

This position forms part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme which is part funded by Innovate UK. It’s essential you understand how KTP works with Business and University partners, and the vital role you will play if you successfully secure a KTP Associate position.

To design, create and embed bespoke AI-enabled intelligence platform by integrating systems, data sources, workflows and reporting structures to provide an AI-assisted enterprise decision support system

• Project manage the delivery of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership work plan (with extensive support from both the company and academic supervisors) the workplan includes:
  • A.Business Process Familiarisation
  • Existing Unity World Ltd data system architecture and operational technology Investigation
  • Key methodology Literature Review.
  • Design of a multi-layered and unified data architecture to establish a robust data foundation.
  • F.AI-Assisted Operational Intelligence and LLM Integration
  • Platform pilot deployment in test environment to validate and check security and governance structures.
  • Unity World Ltd platform integration and deployment, in parallel to live technical support and ongoing training.
  • Contribution to group scale up & potential SaaS commercialisation activity
• Co-author and present academic papers to relevant journals/conferences.
• Contribute to KTP evaluation and final reports.
• Adhere to the University’s & Unity World Ltd’s Health and Safety Policy and guidelines.
• Adhere to the General Data Protection and The Data Protection Act 2018.
• Promote Equality and Diversity for staff and students and embrace the University’s Values and Behaviours Framework.
• Any other reasonable duties that may be allocated from time to time commensurate with the grading of the post.

Your role objective via the KTP is To design, create and embed bespoke AI-enabled intelligence platform by integrating systems, data sources, workflows and reporting structures to provide an AI-assisted enterprise decision support system.

Your role is fully supported by business and university partner supervisors.

The business partner, Unity World Ltd is a Technology & IT services company providing telecommunications, cloud hosting, data centre services, software development, and hardware sales. They currently employ 18 staff.
