Procurement Manager

Your new company An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a public sector organisation with a strong focus on commercial improvement and value for money. This is an influential role offering ownership of strategic sourcing, contract management and supplier performance across a significant category portfolio. Your new role As Procurement Manager, you will lead end-to-end procurement activity and act as a trusted commercial adviser to senior stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and delivering category and sourcing strategies Leading complex, high-value tender and procurement exercises Managing commercial negotiations and contractual agreements Identifying and delivering measurable savings and efficiencies Analysing spend and market data to identify commercial opportunities Managing strategic suppliers, performance reviews and improvement plans Driving supplier rationalisation and supply chain efficiencies Providing expert procurement advice to senior stakeholders Embedding social value, commercial governance and effective risk management Ensuring procurement activity follows relevant policies, legislation and audit requirements What you'll need to succeed Demonstrable working knowledge of PA23 or PCR
2015 is essential, ideally TPP certified. Strong strategic sourcing and category management experience Proven experience leading complex tendering and contract negotiations A track record of delivering significant savings and commercial benefits Strong supplier and contract management expertise Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation capabilities Experience interpreting complex spend, supplier and financial information A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach What you'll get in return You'll take on a high-profile procurement role with considerable autonomy and the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders.
