Class 2 Driver

Location: Darlington
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour
Hours: 5:00am – 3:00pm
Working Days: Usually Monday to Friday

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to provide ad-hoc holiday cover for our client based at their depot in Darlington.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 2 driver looking for flexible, temporary work to fit around existing commitments.

Shifts will be offered on an ad-hoc basis, primarily to cover staff holidays and absences, with working hours typically from 5:00am until 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category
  
  C) vehicle.
• Carry out deliveries in accordance with scheduled routes.
• Ensure goods are transported and delivered safely and efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries where required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Adhere to all road transport legislation and health and safety procedures.

• Valid UK Category C (Class
  2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.
• Comfortable with early morning starts and physical duties where required.

• £15.50 per hour.
• Weekly pay.
• Regular daytime shift pattern when cover is required.
• Monday to Friday work, with no regular weekend commitment.
• Flexible, ad-hoc assignments to suit driver availability.
• Opportunity for ongoing holiday cover.

This is an ad-hoc temporary position, and shifts will be offered according to the client's holiday cover requirements. Regular weekly hours cannot be guaranteed.
