Job DetailsWe are a manufacturing company looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our vibrant manufacturing team. As an integral part of our financial operations, you will manage the processing, recording, and payment of invoices, ensuring that our financial data is accurate and up to date. Responsibilities- Managing the accounts payable process from receipt of invoices to payment, ensuring all invoices are accurately recorded and paid in a timely manner.
- Setting up new vendors in the system and maintaining existing vendor files.
- Processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, using 3‑way matching to ensure that invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports are aligned.
- Coding invoices to the appropriate GL accounts and cost centers, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Utilizing SAP and other ERP systems to manage accounts payable activities and streamline processes.
- Using Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create reports, and assist in financial forecasting.
- Collaborating with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain accurate purchase order records.
- Assisting in the month‑end closing process and annual audits by providing necessary accounts payable reports and data.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in accounts payable systems, SAP, and Microsoft Excel. Experience with other ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing, vendor setup, 3‑way matching, and GL coding of invoices.
- Excellent data analysis skills, with an ability to extract and interpret data from various sources.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
