Audit Manager – Stockton, CA – Salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year (fielding flexible options)

We’re looking for an Audit Manager to join a respected CPA firm in Stockton, CA. The firm is open to onsite, hybrid, or fully remote arrangements and is known for its flexible culture, low‑hour expectations, and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Manage client relationships while overseeing audit and review engagements to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Work closely with clients in a variety of industries, including non‑profit organizations, affordable housing, employee benefit plans, and homeowners’ association audits.
- Lead audit engagements from start to finish, including planning, execution, and final reporting.
- Analyze financial records to identify potential issues and present solutions.
- Train, mentor, and review work of audit staff.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Provide recommendations to assist clients with financial reporting and compliance needs.
- 4+ years of public‑accounting audit experience.
- Experience with non‑profits, affordable housing, employee benefit plans, or HOA audits is highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred or in progress).
- Strong communication and relationship‑management skills.
- True work‑life balance – 40 hrs/week during off‑season and ~55 hrs during busy season.
