OverviewA well‑established full‑service mid‑size, 25‑employee CPA firm in Stockton, CA is seeking an Audit Senior to join its growing team. This is a hybrid opportunity offering exposure to a wide range of industries, a collaborative work environment, and a clear path for career advancement.
Industries served include non‑profit, affordable housing, local government, local districts, employee benefit plans, HOAs, real estate, healthcare, professional firms, and a horse track.
Responsibilities- Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements across multiple industries
- Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements and disclosures
- Supervise and mentor junior staff
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/GAAS and internal control standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- 3–5 years of public accounting audit experience
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP/GAAS
- Experience in one or more of the listed industries
- CPA license preferred (required at Manager level and above)
- Proficiency in Thomson Reuters software
- 401(k) with 5% profit sharing
- Generous PTO (3 weeks for Staff/Senior; unlimited for Manager+)
- Busy season: 50–55 hours/week
- Non‑busy season: 40 hours/week
