Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the team on a Contract basis in Stockton, California. This role supports day-to-day receivables activity by ensuring payments are recorded accurately, invoices are processed efficiently, and account records remain current. The position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable handling customer account questions while contributing to a busy accounting environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process incoming payments, apply cash accurately, and record transactions in a timely manner.
• Prepare and issue invoices while helping ensure billing information is complete and accurate.
• Maintain customer account files and keep receivables documentation organized and up to date.
• Assist with collection efforts by reviewing aging balances and following up on overdue accounts.
• Investigate payment variances, resolve account issues, and respond to customer inquiries professionally.
• Support account reconciliations and perform data entry to maintain reliable financial records.
• Contribute administrative and operational support to the broader accounting team as needed.
