Bookkeeper Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a permanent, long-term contract position based in Stockton, California. In this role, you will help keep accounting records current, ensure transactions are processed accurately, and contribute to smooth month-end activities. This opportunity is well suited for someone who is comfortable managing core bookkeeping functions independently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee outgoing and incoming financial transactions, including vendor payments and customer receipts, to keep accounts current and accurate.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a routine basis to identify discrepancies and maintain balanced records.
• Record daily accounting activity in Quick Books and help preserve complete, organized financial documentation.
• Prepare and process invoices, deposits, and payments while ensuring all supporting information is properly tracked.
• Assist with journal entries and contribute to month-end close tasks to support timely financial reporting.
• Provide broad bookkeeping assistance across accounting operations and respond to routine financial recordkeeping needs.
• Review account activity for accuracy and follow up on outstanding items to help maintain clean and reliable ledgers.
