Project Representative (Office Engineer)

Responsibilities- Maintain labor compliance requirements.
- Set up and maintain construction project files.
- Create, verify, and process change orders.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts.
- Maintain accurate daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials used.
- Monitor and enforce labor compliance.
- Prepare prevailing wage reporting.
- Receive, review, and interpret daily reporting.
- Attend and participate in construction progress meetings.
- Observe installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems.
- Identify nonconforming work, develop punchlists, and follow through to correction.
- Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance.
- Assist with project audit and closeout.
- Work under general supervision of the Resident Engineer.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
- Ability to interpret construction schedules.
- Problem‑solving skills with the ability to propose solutions to engineer’s questions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
- Fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts.
- Team‑player attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to being an active participant of HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
Expected compensation range: $100,000 - $150,000 DOE
.
