The Project Engineerplaysavitalroleinsupportingteamsthroughcomprehensivedocumentcontrol ,consistent subcontractor/vendor communication,andadministrativesupport.
Thisroleisessentialinensuringthatconstructionprojectsprogressefficiently,safely,andwithinbudget,whilemaintainingqualityandcompliancestandards.
- Provideseamlesscommunicationbetweeninternalandexternalprojectstakeholders.
- Maintainandorganizeconstructiondocumentationtosupportprojecttimelinesandcomplianceandensurealldocumentation,schedules,andrecordsareaccurate,accessible,anduptodate.
- Assistwithsafetyinitiativesandjobsitecoordination.
- Supportthebidding,planning,andexecutionofprojectsthroughallphasesofdevelopmentandconstruction.
- Attendweeklyconstructionmeetings(onsiteandoffsite).
- Maintaincommunicationwithsubcontractors,vendors,Superintendents,and Foremen.
- SubmitandretrieveprojectplansfromtheAHJ(Authority Having Jurisdiction ).
- Providefeedbackduringinternalprojectdebriefings.
- Reviewandlogjobsitesafetymeetingnotes.
- Collectandreviewsubcontractorproposalsandparticipateinsitewalkswhennecessary.
- CoordinateandissuebidrequestsandRFPsforMEPtrades.
- Assistindevelopingpreliminaryconstructionschedules.
- Updateanddistributeoverarchingprojectschedules.
- Generatesubcontractsandchangeordersunderthedirectionofthe Project Manager .
- Ensuresubcontractorsubmittalsalignwiththeprojectscope,specifications,andplanset.
- ContributetoHCI’szero-injuryculturebypromotingsafetyawareness.
- Activelyparticipateinsafetytrainingsandtoolboxtalks.
- Proactivelyreporthazardsandrecommendimprovements.
- ManageandtrackRFI’s,submittals,andconstructiondocuments.
- Organizecloseoutdocumentationforclientdelivery.
- Ensureallsubcontractordocumentation(licenses,COIs,safety policies,etc.)iscollectedandfilledbeforeworkstarts.
- Maintainprojectfoldersanddataonthecompanyserver.
- Review Daily Reportsandforwardto Project Managerforapproval .
- Organizeandarchiveprojectphotos,as-builts,andcloseoutfiles.
- Assistinmeetingpreparationanddocumentmeetingminutes.
- OrganizeandtrackpreconstructionRFI’sandplansets.
- Ensureuseofthemostcurrentdrawingsanddocuments.
- Assistwithbidpackagepreparationandreviewbidsforcompletescopecoverage.
- Helpassemblefinalproposalpackagesforclientdelivery.
- Supportdataentry,print/distributionoflook-ahead schedules.
- Attendjobsitemeetingsandprepareminutesuponrequest.
- Otherdutiesasassigned.
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook,Excel,Word,Project).
- WorkingknowledgeofPROCOREconstructionsoftware.
- Experiencewithreadingblueprints,performingquantitytake-offs,andinterpretingconstructiondocuments.
- Abilitytowriteandmanagesubcontractsandpurchaseorders.
- Strong organizational,multitasking,andfollow-through skills.
Preferred/Considered:
- Minimumof5yearsofexperienceinconstructionwithexposuretoplanning
- Degreeorcertificationin Construction Managementorrelatedfield
- Strategic Thinking-Abilitytoanticipateprojectneedsandstayaheadofpotentialissues.
- Technical Acumen-Proficiencyindocumentcontrol,scheduling,andconstructionsoftware.
- Team Collaboration-Strongcoordinationwithinternalandexternalstakeholders.
- Organization-Impeccableattentiontodetailandabilitytomanagemultipletasks.
- Accountability-Followsthroughonresponsibilitiesandsupportsprojectsuccess.
