Community Education delivers free confidence-building workshops to young people, and we want you to help us in our mission to empower communities to become more resilient.
We ask that you:
- Are available to help us for a minimum of 8 hours per month.
- Can commit to helping us for a minimum of 9 months.
- Driving is essential and must have use of your own vehicle.
- You will need to have use of your own phone and laptop/computer.
- Have the confidence & willingness to speak to groups and individuals and facilitate a workshop. Full training is provided.
Volunteering days and times could vary week-in-week.
Please note as part of this role you may have to travel up to one hour to venues to deliver workshops (travel cost reimbursed). Workshops can take place at various times, usually between 9am and 5pm during the week. You will be required to carry learning materials or light-weight training equipment.
If you have previous experience that’s great, but we will give full training and support if you are passionate about this and want to get involved.
We ask that you can commit to this role and to working through the role induction. 70% of the learning will be done practically, along with some online learning modules, with a view to be independently delivering one of our workshops within 3 months of joining Community Education. We will provide you with all training resources, and we will support you by providing opportunities for observations, feedback, and training.

Can you help build to resilience in your local area?
As a Community Workshop Facilitator Volunteer, you’ll help people in your local area develop the skills and confidence to act in a first aid emergency.
By delivering essential first aid education, you’ll show that everyone can help in an emergency with simplesteps and using everyday items.
Options to deliver other topics to both adult and youth groups
Ability to facilitate groups so they can develop the skills – training and shadowing opportunities provided
Workshops are delivered at various locations and times, some flexibility with availability is useful.
Ability to travel to the locations with any equipment.
Access to IT to complete any eleaning and resources.
