Position Description
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications from dynamic scholars with expertise in molecular and cellular physiology and/or pharmacology committed to excellence in teaching and innovative research to join our collaborative faculty. This position has a primary teaching focus in physiology and pharmacology courses within higher education programs of Doctor of Pharmacy, Ph.D., and M.S. of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences, and Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Coordinating one or more courses in a team‑taught curriculum is required. The successful candidate will establish a robust, externally funded research program that complements and bolsters existing departmental research expertise while mentoring undergraduate, professional, and graduate students in laboratory and classroom settings. Academic advising for students of Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Doctor of Pharmacy or pre‑pharmacy is required. Serving on committees at the departmental, school, and university levels and active participation in departmental, school, and university events is expected.

Minimum Qualifications
- A Ph.D. degree in Physiology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related discipline and demonstrated expertise in teaching physiology and/or pharmacology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postdoctoral research experience is desirable; demonstrated ability to collaborate with other researchers is a plus.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
Physical Requirements
Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using a computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

In addition to a competitive salary, the University offers a comprehensive compensation package, including tuition remission.
Hiring Range
$125,000 per year (We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.)
